10 Best & 10 Worst Horror Movies Of 2014

Far from universally beloved, this cult-focused cult curiosity was a slow-burning success for the discerning horror fan. Yes it was slow, and yes it was another found footage release, but it was at least made by a journalist in-universe so the production quality was far higher and it resisted hiding silliness behind amateur grain.
Given Eli Roth's presence as producer it's no surprise that there's a fascination with death - and some degree of fetishism - but this is slighter and slower than anything else he's been associated with, and as long as you're willing to commit, it's a rewarding film.
