RT Rating: 72% Horror comedy The Final Girls won't be everyone's cup of tea, given that it feels derivative in a way that is jarring even with its agenda to poke fun at horror cliches, but it is genuinely a lot of fun. Even with the majority of the story elements and punchlines borrowed from elsewhere, there is enough affection in the homage work and parody elements to more than cover the familiarity. And the cast is talented enough and charismatic enough to carry the admittedly silly premise beyond what it could have been with lesser actors. It's just good to see another horror comedy homage that is a lot closer to The Cabin In The Woods than Scary Movie 5.
