RT Rating: 97% The Office has a lot to answer for: since it stormed to critical acclaim it has inspired any number of mockumentary copycats that have mostly failed to live up to their forebear. On paper, What We Do In The Shadows sounds like it should be another of those copycats, and with the added difficulty of it focusing on vampires, who sadly haven't been cool since Twilight ruined everything. Luckily though, the film was in the wonderfully talented hands of Flight Of The Conchord team Taika Waititi and Jemaine Clement. Their vampire mockumentary was a hilariously, massively intelligent comedy that perfectly mimics The Real World and affectionately pokes fun at the genre with some genuine belly laughs and some knowing swipes at modernism. And of course, thanks to this film we now get to see a Thor made by Waititi that promises to wash away the grimness of The Dark World.
