10 Best & 10 Worst Horror Movies Of 2016

2. The Faith of Anna Waters

The Faith Of Anne Waters

Tagged as Singapore’s first Hollywood horror The Faith of Anna Waters, also known as The Offering in the US, features an American and Singaporean cast and focuses on journalist Jamie as she travels to the city-state after the mysterious death of her sister. Whatever promise the combination of Singapore and Hollywood offered disappears, however, with this jumbled mess of a movie.

Its Singaporean director Kelvin Tong may have earned acclaim and awards with his past supernatural flicks Rule #1 and The Maid but sadly this movie, his first English language outing, falls flat on its face. In fact, the only thing The Faith of Anna Waters did earn Tong was the rare but dubious distinction of a 0% Rotten Tomatoes rating. Tong took criticism of his movie on the chin though saying he’s ‘so used to being slammed’, which would almost make us feel sympathy for the guy had he not subjected moviegoers to this awful film.
