Mads Mikkelsen gives the best performance of his career as a kindergarten teacher falsely accused of molesting one of his students in this searing, terrifying drama from the brilliant Thomas Vinterberg (Festen).

The Hunt covers the subject of mob mentality and the "won't someone think of the children!" mindset with devastating impact, detailing how a simple lie from a child can ruin a man's life almost beyond repair.

Mikkelsen is absolutely remarkable in an Oscar-worthy turn here, and while he's an actor far better-known for his villainous portrayals, he absolutely knocks this more relatable character this out of the park. A truly under-appreciated film.
