5. The Huntsman: Winter's War (2016)

Was there anyone clambering for a sequel to 2012's admittedly not-bad Snow White and the Huntsman? More to the point, a "sequel" missing Snow White (Kristen Stewart) herself, instead shifting protagonist duties to Chris Hemsworth's Huntsman?

Well, it looks pretty and Charlize Theron is hammy fun in it as Queen Ravenna, but that's about it. Hemsworth's mangled accent is an unintended laugh riot, the plot is utter nonsense, and perhaps strangest of all, the title character ends up feeling like a minor player in his own movie.

It's incredibly dull and its sheer lack of necessity is reflected by the fact that it was a colossal box office bomb, barely making back its $115 million price tag. Avoid.
