10 Best & 10 Worst Movies By Kingsman Actors

5. Breaking The Waves (Emily Watson)

Emily Watson Breaking The Waves
Evergreen Entertainment

Arguably the best film of writer-director Lars von Trier's long and varied career, Breaking the Waves is a typically challenging offering from the controversial filmmaker, but nevertheless scored the brilliant Emily Watson a well-earned Best Actress Oscar nomination.

At once a devastatingly emotional and highly disturbing film, the subject matter may be too unwieldy for many tastes, but for those prepared to take the dark plunge with von Trier, it's a richly affecting and highly unique drama that expertly juggles its tones and effectively made Watson's career overnight.

It's a long, brutal sit, but well worth it for those who aren't easily deterred.
