10 Best "Everything You Know Is A Lie" Moments In Sci-Fi Movies

9. Sam Is A Clone - Moon

Coherence Movie

Sam Bell (played by Sam Rockwell, just to make things confusing) is lonely.

Course he is. He's the lone human worker on a lunar mining facility with only a robot called GERTY for company. That's enough to give anyone the blues.

The hero of this picture has way more to worry about though when he accidentally crashes his lunar rover. He is later awoken by... himself? He really has been up there for too long - he's gone bananas!

Sam initially thinks that this new version of himself is a clone, activated by GERTY when he presumed the original dead after the crash. However, as things unfold, Sam realises that he is also a clone. The original Sam returned to Earth years ago.

It turns out that Sam's employers have been using duplicates as an unethical, inexpensive method of labour. The rest of the movie then becomes about the two doppelgängers trying to escape the base and coming to terms with their own existence.

Imagine if you would up one day you woke up and found out you were a clone? Actually, being a clone of David Tennant would be great.
