10 Best 90s Teen Horror Movies You Need To Watch
2. Idle Hands
Not widely regarded as one of the classics of 90s cinema, 1999's Idle Hands is nevertheless a must-see for fans of cult horror. This goofy black comedy stars Devon Sawa as stoner Anton Tobias - whose right hand becomes possessed one fateful Halloween.
After murdering his parents and friends, Anton decides to take a page out of Evil Dead II's book, and just cut the thing off. Unfortunately, the hand has taken on a life of its own, and sets off on a killing spree - literally independent from Anton.
Critics and audiences alike were generally unkind to Idle Hands, but fans of cult horror have come around to its daft charms in the years since.
Like its peers on this list, it's well cast and acted - look out for Seth Green and Jessica Alba among Anton's chums - making it an easy film to get on with. It's combination of gore and slapstick may not always balance out, but the film commits to its bit to the end. An underrated gem.
