6. John Wick: Chapter 2 - The Catacombs Shootout

John Wick: Chapter 2 takes the ultra-violent headshot orgy of the first film and launches it to almost comically awesome levels during the Rome catacombs scene, where John is tasked with assassinating the High Table's Gianna D'Antonio during her coronation party.

After the job is completed, though, John is forced to slaughter a fleet of anonymous suited-up goons in order to escape the catacombs, nailing headshots in front of a cheering audience, firing a shotgun at close range in the barren tunnels, and then facing off against the ferocious bodyguard Cassian on the city streets, before the pair ends up on Continental grounds and are forced to stop fighting.

It's a beautiful ballet of mayhem tinged with a sprinkling of dark humour, and easily the best sustained action sequence from either of the John Wick movies.
