10 Best Animated Horror Movies

This might be one of the hardest sells on this list, but it's also one of the best flicks included here so give 1994's Felidae a chance for novelty value alone if nothing else. Ready?

Okay, so it’s a dark and gory murder mystery starring suburban cats. It's also one of the most unsettling animations you’ll ever see. Promise.

Originally a German production, the film's stellar English dub features the likes of The Princess Bride's Cary Elwes as its charming, rogue-ish anti-hero, Reservoir Dogs' Michael Madsen as his street tough enforcer, and Alien's John Hurt as his mild-mannered mentor.

However if this makes director Martin Schaack's film sound like fun for the whole family it is empathically not, as this gory slasher features disturbing nightmare sequences and some viciously violent deaths in its twisty mystery plot.

It's a must-watch for murder mystery lovers and slasher fanatics alike, though maybe one to miss for Aristocats fans.
