It remains to be seen whether Renee Montoya will be present in the movie as a member of Gotham City’s police force or if we’ll see her in the superhero alias the Question she adopts later in her comic tenure.
Regardless, if you want to dig into some of her best tales, the Question offers a lot more variety, depth and gives her a starring role she surely deserves.
Pipeline sees Greg Rucka return to the character, having played a key part in her ascension into the identity in the first place. As a result, this time around it feels a bit more polished, with the rough edges sanded down.
We get to see Huntress and the Question working together, and the movie will surely show their electric dynamic on screen at one point too. Rucka lets Montoya’s personality crackle here, especially in the first act of the story, which is always a strong point for such character driven tales.
