Over the years it has become clear that horror is a genre a lot of awards bodies and critics aren’t interested in. So when a film manages to sweep its way through the critics and come out the other side positively glowing, it’s often worth a look into.

Let The Right One In is not only a fantastic coming of age drama but a horror that helped inject life back into the vampire subgenre, building a beast who was in equal parts complex, interesting and terrifying. It’s touted by some as one of the best horrors of the twenty-first century, and personally I think it totally deserves that title.
