Youd be forgiven for forgetting that Sam Mendes Oscar-winning crime-drama has source material making it eligible for a list like this, but it does. The movie adapts the graphic novel of the same name written by Max Allan Collins and illustrated by Richard Piers Rayner, flying in the face of anyone crazy enough to think comic books and graphic novels arent worthy of reading or being given the cinematic treatment. Tom Hanks put in one of his finest performances of his career, working with Mendes to create one of the most memorable films the genre had offered up in decades.
Movie / TV enthusiast with a DVD and Blu-ray collection bigger than I'd care to admit. If anyone is offering creative / furniture solutions to house them, I'm all ears.
