10 Best Disappointing Movies Ever

5. Mad Max: Beyond Thunderdome

Mad Max: Beyond Thunderdome is a curious beast - some fans and critics would have you believe it's the pinnacle of the series, while others rank it firmly at the bottom.

The first two instalments and the more recent Fury Road received widespread acclaim but the Road Warrior's third outing has a tendency to polarise.

It's unfair that Thunderdome goes down as an off day for Max Rockatansky because it was another gratifying romp through the post-apocalyptic outback.

The Bartertown sequences are memorable, the Thunderdome fight scenes are unforgettable and the vehicular action lived up to that of its predecessors.

Thunderdome would arguably have been as well received as the other Mad Max films if it had omitted that irritating gang of kids. Oh, and Mel Gibson's weird mullet too.
