There are any number of American producers looking to flout convention and common sense by producing unauthorised sequels to famous movies. There's even more of them outside the American continent altogether, where, presumably, they figured Yankee lawyers wouldn't be watching. Or at least wouldn't have the know-how to get a cease-and-desist all the way to them. The Filipino film industry is particularly adept at totally ripping off everyone in sight, with unauthorised films featuring such random mash-ups of pop culture characters as Spider-Man and James Bond. Perhaps the most brazen unofficial sequel to come out of the Philippines, though, is Fight Batman Fight! Clearly styled on the sixties Adam West TV show and spin-off film (aka the Best Batman Film) - even down to the logo used on posters - Fight Batman Fight! includes a familiar cast of characters, albeit played by totally different people. It's a bizarre watch. Somehow the costumes of Batman, Robin, Cat Woman and the Joker are even more ridiculous and colourful than the pop-art influenced West era and all the characters are 100% more likely to wield firearms.
