10 Best Fan Theories For 2017's Biggest Movies

7. Alien: Covenant – David Is The Space Jockey

Love or hate Ridley Scott’s Alien prequels, they have answered a few pertinent questions about the Alien universe. In Prometheus we learned that the Space Jockey discovered by Ripley and the Nostromo crew in the very first 1979 Alien film isn’t a fossil as originally speculated but actually one of the space suits used by the Engineers while Alien: Covenant taught us that creepy android David is the creator of the big bad Xenomorphs.

Those two titbits combined could possibly solve one the franchise’s biggest mysteries: who exactly was in the Space Jockey suit in the very first Alien movie? Why, the megalomaniacal David of course!

Somewhere in the interim between the events of Covenant and the original Alien, David travels to LV-426 in the Space Jockey suit explaining how his Xenomorph offspring made it to the moon to decimate Ripley’s crew in the first place.

Currently David seems the most likely candidate behind the Space Jockey’s mysterious identity, but we won’t find out unless Ridley Scott gets the chance to make another Alien movie now the franchise is at Disney.
