Selene had to make an appearance on this list, as she's an absolute shoo-in for it. If you want to find yourself a badass female vampire who kicks ass and looks good whilst doing it, then you can't do much better than this Death Dealer.
The character (played by Kate Beckinsale) is the primary protagonist of the Underworld series, acting as the lead in four of the five movies - with an appearance in the prequel she didn't take the lead in. She carries the franchise on her back and is entirely synonymous with the leather-clad action-horror series.
She's the perfect hero for these movies as her superhuman powers (such as strength, speed, healing and more) make her a formidable fighter. Plus, Beckinsale's stoic persona matches the macabre/angsty energy perfectly. She's almost the poster child for the moody action hero craze of the noughties.
