10 Best Fifth Movies In Franchises

1. Harry Potter And The Order Of The Phoenix

X-men First Class
BBC

For Harry Potter and his friends, their fifth year at Hogwarts is when the Thestral poop really hits the fan.

They're facing assaults on all sides, as Voldemort's army begins to mass and the Ministry of Magic refuses to take them seriously. Oh, and Umbridge. To hell with her!

It is as the pink-loving fascist that Imelda Staunton gives one of the entire series' best performances. She is genuinely unnerving - an actual monster masquerading as your cuddly aunt. She inflicts untold misery on her students and seeing her get her just desserts is beyond satisfying.

Chuck in some comedy, some tragedy, and that fight scene between Dumbledore and the Dark Lord, and this really does stand out as one of the greatest Potter movies in the entire canon.

It manages to pay off on things set up in previous films, as well as igniting a chain events that sends us on the path to the Deathly Hallows finale.

It is the perfect prelude to the final act of the Wizarding World's first saga, which is why it's top of the class here today.

Also, that bit where Dumbledore teleports away using Fawks? Chef's kiss.
