10 Best Fifth Movies In Franchises

8. Final Destination 5

X-men First Class
New Line Cinema

In a rare turn of events, the most recent film in the Final Destination series is actually the one most people prefer.

A prequel to the original movie, this 2011 instalment introduces a host of new characters for Death to gleefully pick off like they were chocolates in a Valentine's Day gift box.

In this movie though, the survivors of a bridge collapse are given an out by the mysterious coroner Mr. Bludworth. He says that if they can murder someone not meant to be on the bridge, they can claim their unused years and escape a gristly fate.

It's literally kill or be killed.

This does a lot to ramp up the tension of the movie, as does the interplay between lead character Sam, his girlfriend Molly, and fellow survivor Peter. It also helps that the deaths are particularly gruesome, including one very nasty scene involving a hook.

You know the one.

Final Destination 5 was a great way to send the series out on a high... though a sixth film is currently in early development for HBO Max.
