In 2008, Hong Kong filmmaker Wilson Yip brought us the first in his Ip Man series of films. The movie revolves around the titular character, who was a master of the Wing Chun martial art and the trainer of a certain Bruce Lee.

It depicts the supposed events of his time during the Sino-Chinese War, although this being a martial arts movie, take any accuracy with a rather large pinch of salt.

The franchise was very successful, spawning several sequels until it arrived at Ip Man 4: The Finale.

Yes, we know it's got the number "4" in the title, but there was a spin-off in 2018 called Master Z: Ip Man Legacy. That's good too, Dave Bautista's in it.

Back to Ip Man 4, and we find our hero in San Francisco looking for a school to send his son to. Along the way, he encounters discrimination from White Americans as well as his battles with throat cancer.

The movie was a huge box office and critical success, with many calling it a fitting end to a popular series. If you're a fan of people knocking the stuffing out of each other, then this might be right up your alley.
