As Phase 3 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe is about to wrap-up with Spider-Man: Far From Home in July, it's high time we take a look back at the incredible Infinity Saga.

From the first battle between Iron Man and Obadiah Stane to the gargantuan showdown with Thanos, we've been taken on a monumental cinematic journey unlike anything before. Sometimes it's good to take a step back and think about how truly special the Marvel Cinematic Universe is, and to appreciate it before we move on to the next Phase...

10. Thor & Co. Vs. Hela - Thor: Ragnarok

Fairly or not, the first two Thor movies are widely regarded as some of the worst MCU movies. On top of that, Thor was generally the least favourite of the three founding fathers, based on his rather wooden personality. So it's fair to say a third Thor movie wasn't all that anticipated by audiences. However, Thor: Ragnarok, directed by Taika Waititi, was released in 2017 and blew everyone away.

From the first scene it was clear this was a very different Thor and a different kind of movie. What followed was, arguably, the MCU's single best movie with memorable one liners, mad-cap performances, and incredible fight scenes.

One such scene was the final battle, in which Thor and his rag-tag group of misfits including Hulk, Valkyrie, Loki, and Executioner, take on his sister Hela. In the battle, Hulk tussles with a giant wolf, Loki and Valkyrie use their impressive knife skills, and Executioner wields a machine gun.

Thor meanwhile, has his eye gouged out before channelling the lightning and flying into battle like a total badass. All of which culminated in Asgard being totally wiped out. And to the soundtrack of Immigrant Song by Led Zeppelin. It was a defining moment for Thor and the MCU as a whole.
