9. T'Challa Vs. Killmonger - Black Panther
Black Panther was a paramount movie for the Marvel Cinematic Universe. And, while it's far from the best movie in the saga, it does feature one of the most compelling villains. Erik Killmonger is, by far, the best part of Black Panther, and their first battle for the crown is the best part of the film.
The battle takes place atop the gorgeous, scenic Wakanda waterfall, where anyone can challenge for the mantle of Black Panther. The angrier, hungrier Killmonger wields a short spear and a sword in either hand, while T'Challa holds a shield and a spear. The two square-off with the sun setting in the background, water splashing all around, and traditional African drums pounding in the background. Killmonger's fast, brutal style is too-much for T'Challa, and ends with him being sliced, skewered, and tossed off the cliff. It's tense, exciting, and emotional watching the Panther being brutalised in front of his family.
The waterfall fight for superiority is one of the MCU's most dramatic, beautiful, and memorable. It's worth pointing out however, that the final battle in Black Panther was really a terrible mess of CGI, but the first fight scene was the opposite; a beautiful collision of choreography and cinematography.
