10 Best Filmmaking Siblings
3. The Russo Brothers
Can you imagine a pair of filmmaking brothers starting their careers with a little indie heist comedy, and seventeen years later, they were responsible for directing the most recognizable (and soon to be highest grossing) film of all time?
The Russo brothers made Welcome to Collinwood in 2002, and it was moderately well received. They directed the comedy You, Me, and Dupree in 2006, but mostly became known as television creators. In particular, they became known for their high concept action-comedy work on the sitcom Community.
That somehow led to directing gigs on the second and third Captain America films, and the success of those movies made the Russo brothers a logical choice for the epic and complex two-part Avengers epic Infinity War and Endgame.
Their unlikely but inarguable success guarantees these quirky indie filmmakers turned big-budget hitmakers a long and interesting career behind the camera.
