6. Harry's Invisibility Cloak Was A Hallow – The Deathly Hallows

Harry’s Invisibility Cloak was one of the most fascinating items in Rowling’s world. Given by Dumbledore in The Philosopher’s Stone, the cloak was an essential tool in Harry’s arsenal during his many adventures at Hogwarts and beyond.

From the moment it came into our hero’s possession, the cloak carried an aura of mystery. The fact that it used to belong to Harry’s father was not particularly remarkable, but the question as to why Dumbledore had the cloak at the time of Lily and James’ death was certainly an intriguing one.

The answer to such a question was not given until The Deathly Hallows. After a narrow escape from the Lovegood’s house, Harry pondered The Tale of the Three Brothers. He then came to the realisation that he was descended from the Peverell brothers, and that the cloak was in fact the Third Hallow, which was why Dumbledore had been so interested in it.

Though it was by no means the biggest reveal in The Deathly Hallows, this particular plot twist provided a highly satisfactory answer to the ambiguity surrounding Harry’s Invisibility Cloak.
