Dont like blood? This isnt the movie for you. While many of these films are grounded in a more atmospheric type of horror, this little number comes along and manages to keep the tension high whilst also splattering you with gory bits. This French entry is about a very pregnant woman (like, the-baby-is-crowning-pregnant) who is terrorized in her home by an unmasked psychopath. The impending childbirth ups the stakes as the protagonist is fighting for more than just her own life over the course of this blood-soaked ultra-violent feature. By the time the curtains close on this one, a quiet suburban home has been rendered into a poorly-kept slaughterhouse. One unfortunate (or fortunate, depending on personal tastes) note: l'intérieur succumbs to the persistent horror trope of 'its basically impossible to kill the villain no matter how many times theyve been burnt, stabbed and/or impaled' that the Halloween franchise started so many decades ago. But sometimes it's better when the villain is un-killable, which happens to be a perfect segue into the number one feature on this list...
