This is one for those out there who just want a tonne of varied storytelling in a dense two-hour runtime.

The ABC's of Death utterly stands out in the horror genre, as its a fantastic chance for artistic expression and acts more like an experience than a movie. It's jam-packed with content, ranging from genuinely terrifying, to side-splittingly funny to downright disgusting.

The ambitious project takes every letter of the alphabet and assigns each of them to different a filmmaker, who is then tasked with generating a short based on a word beginning with that letter. The only stipulation is that the tiny movie they produce must include death. Otherwise, the creators are given free rein, which, of course, leads to plenty of variety.

ABC's of Death is perfect for someone who wants to get a real showcase of the world's most creative horror movie auteurs, and even includes notable names like Adam Wingard, Angela Bettis, Nacho Vigalondo and tonnes more.

Audiences are treated to everything ranging from haunting shorts about eating disorders and domestic terror, to wacky stories about anthropomorphic Nazi cat strippers and apocalypses started by farts. Every segment is unique, and they come together to produce an entirely bonkers film that went on to get a sequel and a small spin-off.
