10 Best Horror Comedy TV Shows You Need To See

7. Wellington Paranormal

Television New Zealand

The second outing on this list for Taika Waititi and Jemaine Clement's What We Do in the Shadows universe.

TV spin-off Wellington Paranormal follows street cops Minogue and O'Leary (who we first met in the What We Do in the Shadows movie) as they investigate the paranormal activity of Wellington, New Zealand. Of which there is, surprisingly, a lot. At two seasons (plus Christmas special) with a third on the way, Wellington shows no sign of settling down anytime soon.

Best described as The X-Files meets The Thin Blue Line, this TV spin-off sees the officers battle ghosts, zombies, aliens, demonic possession and so much more, assisted by the bumbling yet serious staff Sergeant Maaka.

Like the movie and What We Do in the Shadows TV show, its humour is perfectly judged, and full of Clement's signature dry wit. A case for Mulder and Scully? Who needs 'em. They've got nothing on officers Minogue and O'Leary.
