10 Best Horror Movie Cameos

8. Richard Dreyfuss As Matt Boyd - Piranha 3D (2010)

This horror-comedy splatterfest begins on a tiny boat on Lake Victoria in Arizona. Lone fisherman Matthew Boyd wears clothing that is suspiciously similar to that of Hooper, from Steven Speilberg's Jaws. In yet another nod to the 1975 film, the song playing on th radio while Boyd is fishing is none other than "Show Me The Way To Go Home" by the California Ramblers. Most folks might recognise this as the song that the three principal characters (including Deryfuss' Hooper) sing right before the shark attacks Quint's boat! Unfortunately, Boyd doesn't fair as well as his movie universe alter-ego, as the fisherman is tossed overboard and ripped to bloody shreds by hundreds of tiny piranha jaws. Nevertheless, the character of Matt Boyd bears more than a passing resemblance to one of Dreyfuss' more recognisable characters as an ode to one of the greatest thrillers ever made, and that's what makes this cameo great. Fun Fact: The promotional poster for Piranha 3D is heavily influenced by the original Jaws poster from 1975.
