6. Johnny Depp As "Guy On TV" - Freddy's Dead: The Final Nightmare (1991)

Depp When Johnny Depp initially came to Hollywood from his sleepy Midwestern hometown, he did so with the intention of becoming a musician. Thanks to the insistence of his pal Nicolas Cage (that dude literally transcends pop culture), Depp started acting to make money on the side. Depp's first major role was as Nancy's ill-fated boyfriend in Wes Craven's 1984 masterpiece, A Nightmare On Elm Street. Out of his character's grisly demise came a starring role in 21 Jumpstreet, making him a teen idol. Soon after, Tim Burton's Edward Scissorhands came along and Depp shot to super-stardom. After Depp became a bona fide leading man, he decided to pay back the franchise that gave him his start by appearing in the sixth instalment of Nightmare. Seen in a parody of the anti-drug commercials often found on American TVs in the 80s, Depp is promptly dispatched by Freddy, not in an elaborate geyser of blood, but with a frying pan. Fun Fact: Depp is credited as Oprah Noodlemantra.
