Even more so for Halloween, when arguably you'll be wanting to pack in as many scares as possible for the one night a year horror fans have all to themselves - so V/H/S is the perfect choice for any and all looking for some short and sweet stories. And what better way to spend an evening than with six stories for the price of one?
V/H/S delivers a framing narrative of a bunch of thieves breaking into a home to find the titular tape that serves as their target, watching through some as they embark on the endless task of scooping the hundreds of VHS's locked away in the mysterious house. Tales of aliens, succubi, and strange glitches pass the time between the thieves' work, with the last video tape narrative finishing up on a lovely send off to Halloween night itself.
V/H/S is one of the finer anthology collections out there, delivering short form horror that manages to really pack a punch, with a sequel that's definitely worth a look too.
