3. Beetlejuice
Another long term marriage that only becomes more and more endearing as the movie plays out, Barbara and Adam Maitland have one of the most wonderful relationships on screen - supporting each other, loving each other, and completely defying the notion of 'til death do us part' throughout Beetlejuice's whacky narrative. The pair are in a freak car crash before returning to their home and discovering that they've died as a result - trapped between their own four walls for the rest of eternity, which wouldn't be so bad if the living didn't decide to move in and ruin their afterlife.
It's not so much a romance as a strong and stable relationship, but the way the couple interact throughout the movie and become committed to living a ghostly life together in every sense of the word is particularly endearing to watch. Tim Burton really is the king of making creepy romantic.
