And of course it has come to this. You can't make a list of Romantic Horror movies without Shaun of the Dead. This basically kicked off the horror-romance-comedy genre. This film tends to be more romantic and less horrific than the rest on this list. As most of you reading this list know, it's about Shaun (Simon Pegg) who is ne'er-do-well, who tries to repair the relationship with his long term girlfriend (Kate Ashfield) during the midst of a zombie outbreak. The film is funny, touching and scary all within a few scenes. Shaun of the Dead is a movie which couples can watch together without the film being too bleak or too scary. As the tag line says, "It's a romantic comedy. With Zombies." If you haven't seen this movie, you should probably grab that special someone and do that. Now.
