10 Best 'I'm Dead And I Know It' Moments In Apocalypse Horror Movies

In the years since its release, sci-fi apocalypse flick Oblivion has sort of faded from memory - even in spite of its star-studded cast including everyone from Morgan Freeman to Adrea Riseborough.

The latter is the subject of this entry, playing protagonist Jack’s partner/communications officer in post-apocalyptic New York. After Vika and Jack revive a stasis-bound woman they save from a drone attack, it is revealed that the woman (Julia) was previously Jack’s wife before his mind was wiped.

Vika, on seeing the two together, becomes jealous. She is heartbroken that Jack has never really been hers, and despite his insistence that she needs to leave with him, Vika refuses. She says she doesn’t want to know what he has to tell her, just moments before turning to be faced with a drone sent to blow her to bits.

As she faces down the machine, tears in her eyes, she turns to Jack in utter disbelief and utters his name, their relationship clearly being the last thing she thinks of before being killed. It’s actually quite sad, the poor brainwashed woman didn’t stand a chance.
