Captain America: The Winter Soldier was the breath of life that Marvel Studios' Phase 2 needed. Though 2013's Iron Man 3 and Thor: The Dark World were entertaining, neither necessarily left audiences feeling as if the bigger game had changed despite freeing Tony Stark from the necessity of his arc reactor and planting Loki firmly on the throne of Asgard. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_7UnH8OanmE By the end of Captain America's second solo outing, both Cap and the audience had had their worlds turned upside down, with the fall of SHIELD due to its corruption by HYDRA having a ripple effect on the MCU via Agents of SHIELD that is only bound to continue throughout the universe as a whole. As if that wasn't enough, the mid-credits sequence reacquainted audiences with Loki's scepter from The Avengers and introduced audiences to "the twins," Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch, who are set to have major roles in next year's Age of Ultron. Providing one hell of a tease and raising a whole slew of questions we can't wait to get answered, this scene stands as one of the MCU's best credits tags yet and it's hard not to be excited to see how it and the miracle siblings play into next year's big sequel.
