10 Best Marvel Movie Cameos Of All Time

1. Stan Lee (Basically Every Marvel Movie)

Who else could have possibly taken the number one spot, but the godfather of the Marvel Universe, Stan Lee? Not since Alfred HItchcock made a point of featuring in each one of his films have audiences so actively sought out a specific cameo appearance. Lee first appeared in the TV movie The Trial of the Incredible Hulk way back in 1989 and has been heavily involved in both the animated and live action adaptations of his creations ever since, including such iconic characters as Spider-Man, the X-Men, the Fantastic Four, the Hulk, Iron-Man and Thor. Since Marvel began to bring their characters to the big screen, Lee has had cameo appearances in almost every one of the films based on characters that he either created or co-created. The majority of these roles are self-aware, occasionally referencing Lee's position as a comic book creator, even once including his classic catchphrase 'Nuff said', which Lee's been saying ever since he first became famous in the 1960's. Particular highlights of Lee's celluloid career include his appearance as postman Willie Lumpkin in the first Fantastic Four movie and an amusing cameo in X-Men: The Last Stand, where he is simply credited as 'Waterhose Man'. Throughout his numerous appearances, Lee is consistently funny in each of his roles, although the one that stands out most for many is his part in Marc Webb's reboot of The Amazing Spider-Man. As Spider-Man and the Lizard fight in Parker's high school, the battle crashes into the library, where Lee's nameless character is currently working. While the pair continue to trade blows, Lee stands in the foreground listening to classical music, blissfully unaware of what's happening directly behind him. The juxtaposition of the violence and Lee's calm demeanor is hilarious to watch and makes this cameo Lee's most memorable yet. Excelsior! What do you think of these Marvel movie cameos?
