10 Best MCU Villains (Who Aren't In The Movies)

Some villains aren't all that bad. Some villains are just that bad. Very rarely, a villain can be both a lovely person, and a remorseless assasin, AND some unknowable horrible evil.

Such is the strange case of Mary Walker. Originally a mercenary in a Sokovian prison, the abuse she suffered there caused her personality to shatter, producing the naive Mary, the ruthless Walker and a third, unknown personality who massacred the entire prison to allow her to escape.

Diagnosed with DID, Walker was hired by Joy Meachum to help bring down Danny Rand, however, the Mary personality took a shine to her supposed target and the pair worked together to help him survive the assault by Davos and Meachum.

The dichotomy between Mary and Walker was what made the character so compelling. While Walker was a classic assassin character, Mary’s sunny, likeable personality put her on friendly terms with Danny, and the true-to-life details regarding her mental state, such as rain triggering her personality shifts, made her a more realistic example of DID in modern media.

It is unknown what happens to Mary, Walker and her third alter (presumably named Typhoid) but maybe we can see her again in a Disney plus series. Probably not, but we can dream.
