10 Best MCU Villains (Who Aren't In The Movies)
5. Gregory P. Salinger (Jessica Jones)
How would you feel if you trained your entire life to be the best fighter, countless hours studying to improve yourself and years of practice to become an seemingly upstanding member of society, only for some alcoholic sociopath to come along with super-powers and get all the attention?
This moral quandary is the dilemma presented to the last Marvel Netflix villain, Salinger AKA Foolkiller, as he’s never referred to. Whereas most of us would probably just be a bit jealous and go back to debating whether Jessica could take Captain America in a fight, Salinger decided to take matters into his own hands once he was discovered by the reluctant super-hero.
Feeling Jessica Jones’ powers were unfairly gained, he launches a campaign against her, using his calm, collected mindset to systemically target the PI’s weaknesses in the public eye, as well as his... less disciplined approach of torturing her adoptive mother to death while taking pictures of her suffering and dropping Jessica into a tanker full of rotten body parts.
A deeply insecure man, Salinger uses every skill and ability he can muster to gain power over Jessica, even setting her best friend on the path to becoming a killer, even if it does end up with him becoming a victim himself.
