Frankly, Captain America's vibranium shield wouldn't even crack the top ten if this were a list of most powerful MCU weapons.

In function, it's barely a weapon, at all. It's not purpose-built to do damage. The damage it does inflict is nothing compared to the black hole grenades or Yondu's arrow. Based on versatility, though, the shield is actually pretty useful. What's more, it's just so damn iconic. It's THE symbol of the MCU.

Let's talk about defensive capabilities: it's nigh indestructible. The only things that ever dealt it any real damage were Black Panther's vibranium claws and then Thanos's sword. It'll stop bullets and significant impacts. Find yourself falling out a building? Just put that shield under you and try to land squarely on it, and watch the laws of physics bend to your will.

Offensively, it's a basically a frisbee made of the strongest metal on the planet. Cap threw it into a plane, it bounced around for a moment, and - somehow, some way - that plane crashed. In one-on-one combat, look no further than John Walker's bloody, rage-driven murder of Flag-Smasher Nico and his desecration of the shield.

It may not pack any firepower, but it's more than versatile enough to earn its placement here.
