10 Best Movie End Credits Ever
4. Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse
Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse is one of the most creative and visually dazzling animated movies ever made, and this claim carries through to its all-timer end credits sequence, which basically amounts to an eye-melting surreal art project.
While running down the movie's terrific cast and crew, the credits feature the movie's various iterations of Spider-Man through an extremely hallucinogenic prism.
Some of the more amusing images include a recreation of the iconic Spider-Man desk meme, Spider-Man Noir (Nicolas Cage) bringing the Rubik's cube back to his dimension, Spider-Man being held in a Christ-like pose by fellow Spider-Men (in what's surely an homage to Sam Raimi's Spider-Man 2), Spider-Ham (John Mulaney) being roasted alive, and best of all, Spider-Ham turning the tables by roasting Spider-Man on a spit.
And if that's not quite enough, the titles are accompanied by a heartfelt quote from Stan Lee (who passed away shortly before Spider-Verse was released), and at the very end of the credits, Spider-Man 2099 (Oscar Isaac) is, uh, pointed out to audiences.
It is, in a word, utterly insane, and boasts more artistry than most animated movies and superhero blockbusters tend to muster over their entire run-times.
