10 Best Movie Opening Titles Sequences

9. Watchmen

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N_fiBS5w8uI Though Zack Snyder's Watchmen was a divisive film among the source material's fans and general movie-goers alike, there is one thing we can always count on the director for, and that's to deliver grandiose, super-stylish cinematic experiences time and time again, and this is felt arguably no better during the film than in the stunning credits sequence. Six minutes is extremely long for a movie's credits - and we apologise for the speeded-up version above, which is the only complete copy on YouTube - but Snyder smatly manages to hold our attention by miraculously concentrating a wealth of Alan Moore's dense backstory into this compressed period. Many of the film's most iconic images appear during this sequence, notably Snyder's addition to The Comedian's back-story that he assassinated JFK, and the use of Bob Dylan's magnificent "The Times They Are A'Changin'" helps to make the scene all the more chilling and awe-inspiring.
