10 Best Movie Posters Of 2017

Arguably the very best comic book-based movie of 2017, Logan was also among the year's most daring blockbusters. It took the character of Wolverine, didn't even use his traditional X-Men alias in the title, and pushed the previously PG-13 based protagonist into hard-R territory, with profanity and bloodshed by the barrel-load.

Beyond that, however, writer-director James Mangold's film was a sombre, mature, intensely character-based swansong for Hugh Jackman's take on the beloved Marvel hero, not to mention Patrick Stewart as Charles Xavier. Neither actor could ask for a better movie in which to bid their signature roles farewell; nor could newcomer Dafne Keen ask for a better debut role than Laura/X-23.

While Logan can be classed both as a superhero movie and/or science fiction thanks to its near-future setting, in look and feel it's far closer to a Western, and this hazy, moody poster does a great job capturing that spirit.
