10 Best Movie Sequels That Start IMMEDIATELY After The Last Film's Ending

Following on from Dr. Evil's Big Boy cryogenic chamber popping the villainous egg back into Earth's atmosphere, The Spy Who Shagged Me sees our titular hero Austin Powers enjoying some honeymoon antics with his new wife Vanessa Kensington. Of course, the previous flick ended with the superspy knocking off Random Task in the hotel room with a penis pump. So ,we're led to believe that we're rejoining the happy couple soon after this scare in the follow-up.

However, Powers soon discovers post-boinking that his beautiful wife is actually nothing more than a fembot programmed by Evil to murder the quirky Brit. And before long, Evil causes her to self destruct. Without missing a beat, though, the death of his excursion into the world of monogamy soon opens the door for a freshly single Powers dance number and all is hilariously and swiftly forgotten.

Did it make the entire tale of unlikely romance before it seem like a bit of a waste of time? Perhaps. Yet, you do have to chuckle at the audacity in having Elizabeth Hurley revealed to be a machine gun wielding machine all along so early in the sequel day.
