10 Best Movie Soundtracks Of 2015

1. Mad Max: Fury Road

The Film: When Mad Max: Fury Road released in mid-2015, it took the world by storm. No-one had any right to expect that George Miller's return to the franchise would be good, let alone great. It's generally the case that returning to old property is more a cashgrab than anything else, but of course there are exceptions which prove the rule. Fury Road is one of them. Fury Road follows Max and his encounter with Furiosa, a woman who attempts to spring a group free from the captivity of the terrifying Immortan Joe. The Soundtrack: Composed by Dutch multi-instrumentalist Tom Holkenborg (who often goes by the name Junkie XL or JXL) the music in Mad Max is absolutely essential to quality of the film, which is basically just two huge chase sequences. The ability to pack deeply emotional strands into high-energy chase music is absolutely phenomenal, and one of the best parts of the soundtrack as a whole. Honourable Mention €“ Star Wars: The Force Awakens

Sadly, since Star Wars: The Force Awakens hasn't released at the time of writing, I haven't included it in this list. Nevertheless, it's undoubtedly one of the most highly anticipated soundtracks of the year, with legendary composer John Williams returning to score the film. If things continue to be as impressive as we've heard in the trailers and TV spots, then the soundtrack stands to absolutely be one of 2015's greatest.
