10 Best Movies To Mix Animation With Live Action

3. Monty Python And The Holy Grail

Monty PythonEMI FilmsMonty Python and the Holy Grail is, arguably, one of the most-loved comedies of all time, and the comedy group's best work. The film is a parody of King Arthur's quest to find the Holy Grail. Through their adventures, Arthur and his knights find themselves in ridiculous situations, such as coming across a castle filled with sassy French guards and fighting the Rabbit of Caerbannog, which they are only able to defeat with the Holy Hand-Grenade of Antioch. Perhaps one of the best, and most under appreciated aspects of the Monty Python and the Holy Grail is its animation. The film includes several animated segments and interludes, and the animation is integrated seamlessly into the film without any hiccups. At one point, all the characters turn into paper drawings as they run away from a giant monster. In another instant, the group of knights speak to god, who appears as a giant drawing in the sky. If you haven't seen this classic and iconic film, you most definitely should.
