7. Kit Harington - Testament Of Youth

A fair proportion of Game Of Thrones fans spent much of the first few seasons waiting patiently for Kit Harington's character Jon Snow to become more interesting - a number of forums contain lengthy discussions asking "When did Jon Snow start boring you to tears?" while others hoped the character would fade into obscurity.

Thankfully Harington's character has had plenty of time to improve and is now one of the principle heroes fans are rooting for. Outside of Game Of Thrones his career has been something of a mixed bag, with good voice over work in How To Train Your Dragon 2 sitting uncomfortably alongside a passable performance in last year's dreadful Pompeii.

By far his best role came as Roland Leighton in Testament Of Youth, a film which might be overly sentimental for some viewers but stands proud on account of the exceptional performances throughout. Let's hope Harington picks up more great cinematic roles in the years to come.
