10 Best Musical Themes From Live-Action Marvel Movies

1. Captain America: The First Avenger (2011)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qrXwAeJ87Bk Of all the Marvel themes over the years, none has so perfectly represented both the tone of the film and the character itself as Alan Silvestri's work on Captain America: The First Avenger. A thoroughly enjoyable piece acting as a perfect throwback to exuberant scores of old, the noble theme manages to exemplify everything inherently good about Captain America and feel straight out of the era. In the context of the MCU, Captain America was the first -- and so far only -- hero to have a catchy theme right from the start that would continue to carry over into other films, as Silvestri himself would reprise it a year later in The Avengers, Brian Tyler would honor it in Thor: The Dark World and Henry Jackman would use it sparingly like a ghost of Cap's lost time in Captain America: The Winter Soldier. In the entirety of Marvel's film legacy, though, it stands tall as the best there is, capturing the essence of Cap and his time period in a way that so many others have fallen short of.
