10 Best One-Hit-Wonder Actors

4. Patrick Fugit

Bill And Ted
Columbia Pictures

Almost Famous was a breakout hit for almost everyone involved in the film; from Zooey Deschanel to Kate Hudson, the film launched many careers. Strangely, the one career it should have launched to fame and stardom was the main character, William Miller, who was played by Patrick Fugit.

That's not to say Fugit hasn't had a successful career in the intervening decades, but there's little hope you can name another role of his, or even place him in another movieā€”and he's been in a lot.

Fugit's acting career began in 1997 with a couple of appearances on Touched by an Angel alongside a made-for-tv film in 1998, but it was 2000s Almost Famous that made him a star, albeit a one-hit-wonder of a star.

Since the movie came out, Fugit has appeared in numerous episodes of shows, including ER, House, and as a main role on Outcast. One of the reasons he may not be as recognizable today may be due to the youthful 18-year-old look he possessed in Almost Famous, but even if that's true, his name recognition and appearance have landed Fugit in the one-hit-wonder category of actors... at least until he makes a splash on something amazing in the future.
