8. Jennifer Lopez - Selena
No, really; the most reliable of Hollywood's flopsters can actually boast one reasonable role that the critics didn't hate. Lopez's 1997 on-screen interpretation of the life of Selena Quintanilla proved endearing, energetic and even touching. Sure, the whole thing was a little Lifetime-y, but it's certainly worthy of a mention. Especially given that Lopez would go on to assure herself the reputation of worst actress in Hollywood many times over - four Razzie nominations and one win feature on Lopez's discredited acting resume. It's safe to say Jenny's consequent critical panning has been merited. She has yet to show any glimmer of the modest talent on display in Selena: in that promising role she was inspiring and even a little gritty, although it could be argued that Lopez's authentic portrayal of Selena was thanks to her emotional proximity to the diva-esque, troubled singer. No matter what you make of her inspiration for Selena, Lopez's failed acting career is truly down to a lack of talent rather than a lack of luck.
