10 Best Sci-Fi Movie Villains

6. The Xenomorph

The Matrix Agent Smith
20th Century Fox

The H.R. Giger inspired Xenomorph from the Alien franchise is one of the most instantly recognisable visages in science fiction, and horror, film history. The sight of the giant alien slinking through vents and stalking down Sigourney Weavers Ripley is undoubtedly etched into the brain of every sci-fi fan across the world.

The Xenomorph is an undoubtedly intimidating foe, an absolutely giant creature that boasts both hulking ferocity and an incredible penchant for stealth. The Xenomorph has all the ingredients of some serious nightmare fuel.

Where most sci-fi nemesis' thrive with intelligence and depth, the Xenomorph actually stands out by being a purely primal beast.

The concept of such a singularly focused colossus that will stop at nothing, and is incredibly hard to stop, to destroy any threat it perceives can be more intimidating than any monologue or scheme.

The design of the creature is fantastic, seemingly sightless, and with an almost humanoid quality. The Xenomorph is a brilliant foil for the unsuspecting crew of the Nostromo and it has cemented its place as an iconic sci-fi nemesis for multiple generations.
